| This forum exists to encourage its participants to think outside of the proverbial box... because we believe the truth cannot be suppressed, and because we believe that God is Who He says He is. We have created this forum to inspire others to discover new avenues that will reveal His Truth. If you are interested in commenting on the ideas that are presented, or if you are interested in discussing your own original ideas, please contact us at creationfacts@aol.com and we will be happy to post all material that we deem appropriate. Please submit all comments in a Word document. We are NOT interested in censoring thoughts or ideas; however, we reserve the right to post only those discussions that we believe to be encouraging and valuable to the pursuit of Truth. Please keep in mind that these are only preliminary ideas which have not be tested experimentally or observationally. To start the process, we have listed two of our Co-Founder, RoseAnn Salanitri's ideas. |
| 1. VISIBLE STARLIGHT - At presentations I am often asked how we are able to see starlight from stars that are determined to be 15-20 billion light years away in a creation that I believe to be 6,000 years old. To date, I believe Russ Humphreys has explained it best in his book Starlight and Time. However, there may be another explanation that should be examined. It may be strange for you to hear that we don't see the starlight from stars more than 6,000 light years (LY) away - except for a few in the southern hemisphere (which is now believed to have been the original center of the universe). You may be confused, but the stars that are being referred to at the distances that exceeds 6,000 LY don't reach earth through visible light rays. These stars are seen using equipment that can read ultraviolet rays. When I first became aware of this, my first question was if the ultraviolet rays travel at the same rate as visible light rays. They do - at least they do now. I am also aware that astrophysicists believe the reason we don't see the visible light rays from these far away stars is due to the amount of solar dust. However, if you study the structure of an ultraviolet ray and a visible light ray, you will see they are distinctively different. The ultraviolet rays look as if they have been stretched out. Plus, I find it highly coincidental that we only see the visible light from stars that are 6,000 LY away - just the age the genealogies in the Bible put on the date of creation. I think it would be very interesting for someone to conduct experiments with both visible light and ultraviolet light, 1. Stretching the visible light, and 2. Seeing if the speed of ultraviolet light can be tampered with. I know laser experiments have played with light in something called chirped pulse amplification - who knows if this type of experimenting can yield interesting results. 2. GLOBAL WARMING - Since Al Gore's movie has become so popular, this has also become a popular question at presentations. We have well documented data that tells us that the earth's magnetic field is decaying. If you've read my abstract on Grand Unification (available for free on this website), you will see that I believe all the forces in existence are part and parcel of electromagnetics. What's the connection? When electromagnet current decays, the current is converted into heat. Because I've heard (have not documented this for myself) that all the planets are experiencing global warming, I think there must be a physical cause. That's not to say that I don't believe that mankind has impacted this phenomena, but its cause might be something other than man. After all, last I heard, SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) still hasn't found life in the cosmos - that would include the other planets within our own solar system that are also experiencing global warming. Before you write in and tell me that geophysicists believe that the magnetic decay is not caused by a decaying magnetic field that would produce heat, consider the fact that they don't really know what is causing the decay. They just assume they know. I don't know what experiments can be done along these lines, but I'm sure someone can think of something. At the risk of being political on a non-political site, I have to say that personally I won't mind seeing a little bit of egg on some of the global warming guru's faces. |
